A group of investors led by Aileron Management announced they have acquired The Hamilton-Turner Inn, a 17-room AAA Four-Diamond historic boutique hotel in Savannah, Georgia.

The Greenville SC-based hospitality management firm, Aileron Management, will assume management of the inn. This acquisition marks Aileron’s 4th hotel management addition in 2022 and its first property in Georgia.

“The acquisition of the Hamilton-Turner Inn, which is quintessential Savannah, represents the next phase of growth for Aileron,” remarked Jason Boehm, CEO of Aileron Management.  “For many, Savannah’s historic and romantic charm makes it a favorite destination for couples, which also makes it a target market for us.  Our goal for the Hamilton-Turner Inn is to continue and enhance the elevated experience that has made it one of the leading boutique inns in the country.”

The structure of what is now called the Hamilton-Turner Inn was built as a family home in 1873. The property has served in many capacities over the years, but its current state as an inn began in 1997 when Charlie and Sue Strickland converted the Hamilton-Turner mansion into luxury suites.

Situated in the heart of the Savannah Historic District, the Hamilton-Turner Inn is just a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. It is also close to a wealth of historical attractions, including the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, Forsyth Park, and the Historic Savannah Theatre.

The 17-room boutique hotel has been the recipient of USA Today’s “Best Romantic Hotel” award for four consecutive years. The hotel offers accommodations in two buildings – the main mansion and the Turner Carriage House, a separate three-bedroom, three-bathroom residence with a parlor, garden access, and a private entrance. The hotel features uniquely designed rooms offering luxury appointments, stylish period décor with modern conveniences, and beautifully renovated bathrooms with walk-in showers, marble sinks, and comfy bathrobes. Amenities include a chef-prepared southern breakfast, afternoon refreshments, and evening wine and hors d’oeuvres.
