At Aileron Management, we value our employees and recognize them for their hard work and performance. This month we would like to recognize Lupe Schmidt, Front Desk Attendant at the Hampton Inn West Des Moines as our Spotlight Employee of the Month. She was nominated for demonstrating Aileron’s core value of “Principled” by Tom Murray, General Manager.
“Lupe is a great Hampton Inn employee because she is a breath of fresh air when she comes into work and always has a smile a mile wide,” said Tom Murray, General Manager.
Recently we received an outstanding comment from a guest regarding Lupe. The couple was returning home after spending time with their grandchild who had been in a terrible accident. They shared their story with Lupe and could tell she was touched. She helped them secure a room using their Hilton Honors points. She then asked if they had any needs and made sure they knew when breakfast was served and suggested a restaurant that would deliver. They shared with Lupe how badly their grandchild had been hurt and that a GoFundMe had been started to help with medical expenses. As they were about to leave, Lupe gave them a donation to go towards their grandchild’s recovery and offered to share the GoFundMe page. They said that Lupe’s actions were nothing less than outstanding and that her care, compassion, and consideration lifted their spirits.
